Staff questions, answered
We are hiring staff to work with us weekly at WSFS Sportsplex in Chester, PA. Here is what people ask most before they apply.
01
What are the roles?
We are bringing on session coaches, assistant coaches and support staff for check in, setup and gameday flow at our weekly Saturday sessions. As weekday and private training grows across the tristate area and down to the DMV, those hours open up too.
02
Where and when do staff work?
Saturdays, 10 AM to 12 PM, with arrival about 45 minutes early for setup and a short staff huddle. Additional weekday and private training hours are scheduled around your availability.
03
How are hours structured?
Start with one Saturday session a week. Most staff work a three hour block including setup and breakdown. Take on more sessions, camps and private training as your schedule allows.
04
How does pay work?
Staff are paid per session, and the rate depends on the role, your coaching experience and your certifications. We talk through the exact number on our first call so it is clear before you commit. Private training and camp work is paid separately.
05
What training and support do I get?
You get the session plan in advance, an onboarding walkthrough of how we run a Skills Day, and coaching on our standards for safety, communication with parents and player development. You are never dropped into a session cold.
06
What experience do I need?
Playing background and any coaching experience helps, but what matters most is that you are reliable, good with young athletes and families, and you want to grow. Tell us what you have done and we will find the right fit.
07
Do I need clearances or certifications?
Anyone working directly with youth athletes will need current background clearances before their first session. If you do not have them yet, we will walk you through what to get and how.
08
What should I send to apply?
Fill out the application on this site with your resume and a short note about yourself, or email salina@thewillifordproject.com. Every application is read personally and you will hear back about next steps.
